As usual, we packed for this backpack hunt by utilizing the free backpack hunting gear template that we always use.

Mark made an updated copy of this free gear planner, specifically for this spring bear hunt, which you can view or copy below. As you can see on the list, his base pack weight was ~21lbs, with food, water, and fuel, it was ~33lbs, and when carrying his rifle, he was just over 40lbs.
