There are many universal water bottle holders on the market; this isn't one of them. We purposely designed the K4 Nalgene Holster with our K4 Hipbelt. The integration between those two components places the Nalgene at the perfect position and angle for quick access, while also keeping it out of the way when you are hiking and hunting.
The K4 Hipbelt is designed to transfer the weight of a full Nalgene (2lbs, 3oz) into the K4 Frame structure — eliminating the added torque and reduced comfort that standard hipbelt-mounted Nalgene holders normally introduce.
Built with custom foam and binding, our Nalgene Holster retains its shape for easy, one-handed access and placement of the Nalgene. The foam also insulates the bottle's contents. Works with standard 32oz Nalgene, the larger 48oz Nalgene, and similarly-sized water bottles.

When I bought my K4 pack I didn't expect a water bottle holster would be the star of the show, but this seems to be everyone's favourite gadget when they're checking out my pack. Never knew what I was missing, being able to get at my own drinking water without help.
At first I was concerned it was too snug of a fit “dry testing” it at home. Once in the field, it worked perfect! Like anything else, once the muscle-memory is built, it’s super easy to use and holds a Nalgene nice and snug.

Just picked up the K4 Nalgene Bottle holder and it was a super easy install! Been testing it out and it is effortless to use. I've always been a water bladder guy, but this now adds another water source; that's easy to get to!!
