K4 Quick-Release Rifle Carrier

Take a few minutes and tinker with the fit/position of your rifle in the carrier. It was very intuitive for me in terms of use but it did require 5 minutes of tinkering to get it just right. Great product and the buckle is very easy to use.

Just like their packs, Exo's Quick-Release Rifle Carrier is simple to set up and use. The upper attachment buckle has some "bungie" characteristics which not only assists in attaching your rifle into your pack, but this design also helps maintain a secure attachment point as one meanders through various terrain.

I use the EXO Rifle Carrier on every rifle hunt, and it has become one of my favorite pack accessories. It keeps my rifle secure and protected while still allowing me to quickly access it without taking my pack off.

There is a small learning curve to getting the movement down, but after some practice it becomes second nature. EXO’s YouTube video does a great job explaining the process and helped me get comfortable with it quickly.

One feature I really appreciate is the ability to adjust the carrier height based on your rifle setup. I hunt with an 18-inch barrel plus a 5-inch suppressor, and I rarely have issues with the muzzle getting hung up on branches. For my muzzleloader with a 28-inch barrel, I can lower the carrier so the muzzle sits at a comfortable height and doesn’t interfere with movement.

I also like that you can adjust the straps to fit your specific rifle setup. This allows you to keep the rifle secure without over-tightening and putting unnecessary pressure on your scope or optic.

The rifle stays secure, but it’s still accessible when you need it. My biggest recommendation is to make sure you balance the load on the opposite side of your pack so the weight is distributed evenly.

If you hunt with a rifle, I highly recommend the EXO Rifle Carrier. It’s one of those accessories that once you use it, you won’t want to hunt without it.

Since it is advertised to fit a K3 that I own I bought this. Does it fit? Yes. Does it work as advertised with a K3. Absolutely NOT. 1) Upper buckle setup wants to keep sliding along the pack strap AWAY from pack frame as you walk making it impossible to reach the QR buckle 2) No matter how I try adjusting the QR buckle I cant reach it wearing the pack even at its closest to the frame position. This negates most of what this rifle carrier is advertised for is Quick Release without taking off the pack 3) The lower rifle bag does not support off the shoulder harness strap very well. The weight of the rifle is always pulling down on that one shoulder. 4) I couldnt find any videos on how to install on a K3 only a K4 so Im assuming I have it positioned correctly. The QR code sent with the product only covered install on a K4. Overall I am very dissatisfied with this on a K3 and would not recommend anyone with a K3 purchase this. After how well built but impossibly squeaky my pack is ( I received no useful help when I contacted EXO about how bad it squeaks when walking) I would not recommend a K3 pack or the rifle carrier to anyone. I cant download a video to show how poor this carrier is.
