K3 Hipbelt

I originally orderer the pack with a medium belt based on the size recommendations and the pack did not work for me the way everyone raves. I then tried the lumbar foam still not working then got the large belt and then realized what everyone was talking about. The pack is way more comfortable now and rides so much better with very little slide down with heavy loads.
For reference i am 6 ft 205lbs with a 33 to 34 waste in pants with average love handles.

First and foremost…the K3 pack system is wonderful. Love the design and simplicity. Only issue is if you follow the belt sizing instructions be careful and I might suggest if you are like myself and somewhere around that 31” waist to go medium vs the instructed small. I didn’t read these reviews but wish I did. First trip out with the new pack was a November whitetail hunt where temps were below 0 so I had my layers on. The hip belt padding runs out 3/4s of the way across my iliac bone. I only had about 2” of belt to pull with. It doesn’t wrap about enough. The belt is definitely too small and was causing a painful pressure point on my hip bones. I will try to lengthen the hip belt with the Velcro, is that doesn’t work then looks like I’ll be needing to purchase the medium. I hope this review can help those around the 30-32” waist make the right decision to get the proper belt the first time.

Wish I would have read the reviews on the hip belt alone before ordering the pack. I am a31-32 waist and the small is too small, looks like the sizing chart needs to be updated. I’m obviously not alone in this. Love the pack, but it’s frustrating when you follow the directions and it’s wrong. More time and more money. It would also be cool if when you spend this kind of cash on a pack to not have to spend an additional 20$ on shipping. But I will say I’m happy it’s made in the USA
