All K4 Bags feature roll-top access into the main bag. The roll-top also allows you to expand/contract the pack volume as more/less space is needed.
Efficient Zip Access
In addition to the roll-top access into the main bag, all K4 Packs feature front zip access. The K4 5000 has horseshoe-shaped zip access, while the K4 3600 & K4 7200 feature a full-length straight side zip.

Built with stretch material, both sides of every K4 bag feature top-entry side pockets that work great for tripods, trekking poles, water bottles, and the like. The pack's upper side compression strap keeps tall items secure.

Laser-cut MOLLE panels on the hipbelt and shoulder harness offer secure mounting of K4 Accessories, as well as 3rd-party MOLLE-compatible accessories and holsters.
K4 Lid Included
This K4 Pack System includes the K4 Lid, which offers two storage compartments that add nearly 650ci to the pack's capacity. The lid also works great as a compression panel when packing out a skull and antlers at the end of a successful hunt.

Integrated compression straps on the face of the pack work great to secure your bow to the bag. For rifles, we have a Quick-Release Rifle Carrier accessory, or you can also strap your rifle directly to the face or side of the pack.

After 60 days of using and abusing the K4 Prototype last fall, I can confidently say that it is the most comfortable, complete, and capable hunting pack that I have ever owned. It was clearly created for serious hunters, by serious hunters.
The new K4 is the best pack I have used to date. I used a K4 Prototype on 5 big game hunts this past fall and could tell that it was strategically built for comfort and is tough enough to withstand the most extreme hunting and backpacking adventures.
I love the simplicity of the K4! It has everything you need, and nothing you don’t! After testing the K4 Prototype last year, I was thrilled with the new system to detach the bag from the frame. And the new hipbelt design provides a noticeable increase in comfort.

For me this pack was a bit of an extravagance, as I do have other packs but this is my first high end ‘hunting’ pack, but after using it extensively for some shorter backcountry hunts and day hunts I have no regrets with spending this amount of money. The pack is definitely my most comfortable with over 50lbs packed, and can wear it for long periods of time with no real need to take it off. I have the k4 5000 and I think it can handle most backcountry trips and with the ability to cinch it all down, handled all my days trips without feeling excessive. I appreciate all the different access points and the pack definitely is well built. I did not have a need to pack an animal out this year but having this pack on my back gave me the confidence to venture as far as I wanted from my truck.
The only issues I had were;
1. I found the shoulder straps a little noisy, could hear a little ‘swishing’ sounds when hiking. Could have been the my jacket in combination with the shoulder strap material.
2. As a Canadian, and wanting to buy more accessories it is a little cost prohibitive, with shipping and duties etc. Unfortunately I made the mistake of not buying the Nalgene holder and pouch for the waist belt when I was in Boise!
I do recommend the pack, and though it is expensive I have no regrets and glad I purchased it.

Like a lot of hunters, I have struggled for years to find a pack that carries well loaded and stays put on my frame(narrow hips,small butt). So much so, I got frustrated and built my own. It worked, but was far from perfect. After much research and reading rave reviews about Exo packs, I purchased a K4 5000 last spring. Bar none, one of the best gear purchases I've ever made! Through many miles of training hikes, packing out my sons cow elk, an eight day backcountry deer hunt with my brother, and several day hunts looking for elk and bear, this pack performed above and beyond my expectations. Every aspect of the pack and the accessories I used(hip pouch, in-reach holster, rifle carrier) is intuitive, solidly built, and well thought out. The design is simple, yet proved highly adaptable to any scenario I threw at it. Best of all, it's comfortable! Either compressed in day pack mode or loaded with 100lbs of gear and meat, it stays in place and carries very well. I found myself looking forward to putting it on in the morning. A stark departure from past experiences. Thanks to the folks at Exo for producing a truly phenomenal product!

I have tried numerous packs for hunting to meet all the needs for a pack in hunt or just a day on the mountain. The Exo K4 is by far the best pack I have found, the fit and storage and simplicity of the pack is unparalleled to any other pack on the market. The ability to shrink it tight to the frame for a day pack or open it all the way up and fill it with gear is a must, packed out 3 animals on the pack this year and it's the first time I can truly say the weight was right where it needed to be on my back with around 100lbs of elk on it.

There are a lot of good packs out there these days but if you want an absolute top tier pack get an EXO. I ran a MR Metcalf for 6 years and it was fine but under heavy pack outs it wasn’t very comfortable, after lots of research and talking to all the people that run EXOs I finally made the switch to the k4 5000 this season and it’s amazing. After 2 deer and a cow elk pack out I have really noticed how much better these are under heavy loads. Stop waiting and buy yourself one of these.
